2018 is YOUR YEAR, Mississippi Architects. We’re kicking it off with a program to get licensure candidates on track to crush the ARE, taking our talk on a walk across the state in our START program, parading our award winning members’ work in a traveling exhibit, teaching property owners about financial incentives that encourage development and raising a toast to hard-working Board Members. Grab a cocktail with us so we can tell you all about it at the year’s first Architects’ Happy Hour.

4-5pm • ARE WAR STORIES
We’re working to get architects licensed and what better way than to hear directly from colleagues who’ve been there. AIA|MS is launching a new initiative that will provide ARE test prep sessions, access to study materials and even reimburse qualified candidates for testing fees. Matthew Friesz, Outreach Manager for NCARB, kicks off the discussion with architects who share their test stories and guidance to help you succeed.

5-6:30pm • TIME TO GET STARTED
The bar opens at 5! Grab a drink and peruse the AIA|MS traveling exhibit that outlines our new program, “START Where You Are With What You Have,” features projects entered in the Mississippi Celebrates Architecture Design Awards, and educates about financial incentives available to property owners. We’ll raise our glass to toast the transitioning Board of Directors and enjoy time chatting with colleagues.
